Stanford Sloan Master's Program

Important Program News: Update

Over its 55-year history, the Stanford Sloan Master’s Program has evolved from being one for corporate-sponsored executives to now including a mix of self-funded individuals from a range of industries and geographies. In keeping with the Stanford Graduate School of Business spirit of innovation, we are pleased to announce some changes that will go into effect for the 2012-2013 school year:

  • Extended 12-month school year (now starting in July)
  • More differentiated core course offerings
  • New courses that acknowledge the significant, managerial experience of the Fellows that will be delivered to them exclusively
  • More flexibility to take advantage of a greater range of elective courses

We will be updating this website in the coming months to reflect these changes.

Maximizing the proven potential of midcareer executives and managers

The Experience

  • The Sloan Fellows have lived and worked around the globe. Each adds his or her distinct perspective and experience to class discussions, study sessions, and everyday conversation.
  • Academics are demanding and rewarding. Sloan Fellows take their core courses in a dedicated classroom, working closely with Stanford Graduate School of Business faculty members who are recognized internationally as leaders in their academic fields.
  • CEOs, government leaders, and men and women who make headlines for their ideas and leadership are frequent visitors to the Business School. They spend time in the Sloan classroom, speak to student groups, and host visits during study trips.
  • Sloan families are part of the year-long experience, sharing the excitement of life on the Stanford campus and enjoying their own personal and intellectual growth opportunities.
  • Sloan Fellows earn a Master of Science in Management degree upon successful completion of the 12-month program.
