Brett Jordan

Bio

Brett Jordan is an accomplished technical and strategic leader with a proven track record of innovation, research, and high-impact performance across engineering, business, and mentorship. A Stanford Graduate School of Business alumnus (MBA ’16) and Arjay Miller Scholar, Brett is passionate about fostering curiosity and innovation. Brett brings a unique blend of analytical rigor and creative problem-solving to his professional and mentorship roles, drawing from extensive experience in R&D, product development, and strategic consulting.

Together with Scott Brady, Brett co-created and co-authored the Research-Driven Ideation (RDI) framework to enable individuals to identify non-obvious, high-value problems and emerging opportunities, serving as a launchpad for new ventures, professional advancement, and thought leadership. To date, Brett has coached and supported over 300 Stanford MBA students through the RDI process.

In his professional roles, Brett has led many projects, including the design and commercialization of innovative products, optimization of manufacturing processes, and development of user-focused solutions. His experience spans leadership positions at startups and global corporations, including Drawbridge Health, Beckman Coulter, and The Boston Consulting Group.

Brett earned both his BS and MS in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. Over the course of his career, he has been granted 19 patents, is a named author on four journal papers and 11 conference papers, and has received several awards in recognition of excellence and innovation.
