Bio
Ed deHaan is a professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business. His research on financial reporting, corporate governance, and household accounting and finance is published in leading academic journals and frequently mentioned by journalists and market regulators. Ed is one of six editors at the Journal of Accounting and Economics and is a former Associate Editor or review board member at Journal of Accounting Research, Management Science, The Accounting Review, and Review of Accounting Studies. Ed primarily teaches financial reporting and analysis at the graduate level. He is an accomplished public speaker has won multiple teaching awards at both the University of Washington and Stanford University. Prior to his current position, Ed was an associate professor at the University of Washington, earned his doctorate from the University of Washington in 2013, and worked in consulting and public accounting.
