Laurie Fuller is committed to building competitive, differentiated businesses through strategy development, organization restructuring, executive and leadership coaching, financial controls, corporate governance, country expansion and funding. Her specialty is working with startups and SMEs focused on serving emerging markets.

As a Seed coach based in East Africa for several years, Laurie has worked with many African high-growth companies in various industries. With experience gained in these engagements, Laurie can share best practices with clients who are facing similar challenges. She has shared her thoughts as a guest on several podcasts including Stanford University’s Grit & Growth Podcast. She is frequently invited to speak at graduation ceremonies for accelerators such as Seedstars, Google for Startups and Endeavor.

In early-stage venture capital, Laurie is active as an LP investor, advisor and venture partner. Her geographic focus is Africa and the Middle East. She is a requested speaker and frequently speaks at various venture conferences including SuperReturn Africa, Africa Tech Festival and LEAP in Saudi Arabia.

In a previous position in a Silicon Valley tech company, she directed partner management, implemented new value chains, launched new products and solutions, and prioritized global CAPEX investments to support revenue growth from $1B to $6B over a multiyear period. Experienced in leading teams across several continents, Laurie understands the challenges and best practices of managing a growing, globally dispersed organization.

Having lived and worked in the U.S., EMEA, APAC and Africa, Laurie appreciates the benefits and learnings that come from having a diverse set of skills, experiences and cultures. She has used these experiences to improve collaboration among executives and build sustainable organizational cultures. This global perspective is also valuable in her role as a board member with various organizations.

Laurie has a desirable blend of technical understanding, excellent communication skills and strong business and executive coach training. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in information science and started her career as a programmer. She earned a Master of Arts degree in communication from Stanford University, has advanced certification as an executive coach, and received a Master of Business Administration from TRIUM (LSE, HEC Paris and NYU Stern).
