2024
| Case No.
E891
| Length
13 pgs.
In this case study, students explore how the leadership team of Strata navigated the COVID crisis to turn their aerospace manufacturing company into one that made high-volume low costs N95 masks for the citizens of the United Arab Emirates. The company had to navigate the challenges of making a brand-new type of product in an extremely short time horizon with completely new manufacturing and governance processes. The volumes and margins of the masks that the company had to make were substantively different than what Strata manufactured previously, and the company had to learn methods to design, manufacture, and deliver these critical supplies.
