How to Volunteer

Stanford ACT runs Springboard Sessions in the Spring and consulting projects in the Fall.

• Volunteer for Spring Springboard Sessions in February for Sessions that will take place in April.
• Volunteer for Fall consulting projects in July for projects that launch in September.

Review the project descriptions below. Note: Most projects will be hybrid: most meetings will likely be conducted online, however, those who live/work near a client will have the opportunity for in-person connection with the team/client at 2 or 3 key points during the project process. You do not need to live near your client or team to participate.

Complete your ACT volunteer profile

1. In your profile, indicate which project(s) interest you. Please consider ranking your top 2 or 3 choices.
2. We’re looking for a few outstanding project leaders. To volunteer to lead, or co-lead your project, check the box “Are you interested in leading this project?” on the project ranking page. You can learn more about being a project leader/co-leader by reviewing the Project Leader Role Description linked below or by contacting Nastasha Everheart at nastasha@stanford.edu
3. Save the date for our project round-kick-off taking place on Monday, September 30 from 4:00-5:30 pm PST via Zoom. All volunteers in this round are expected to attend; some of this time will be spent in a breakout room with your teammates, beginning an intentional process of developing an inclusive, effective, and collaborative team. Details and registration to come soon!
4. Nastasha Everheart, ACT director, will contact you by September 21 to discuss your application, project interests, and project placement. (NOTE: our goal is to match as many volunteers as possible with projects of their choosing; doing so isn’t always possible as some projects receive much more interest than there is need).
