Charles P. Bonini
Bio
Bonini did his graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University and directly took a position on the faculty at Stanford Graduate Business School in 1959. Over the ensuing years he has taught a number of courses in the Stanford MBA, PhD, and MSx (formerly Sloan Fellows) programs. These courses have included Decision Analysis, Statistics and Data Analysis, Modeling and Simulation, Management Information Systems, and Data Mining. He has authored or coauthored a number of text books on these subjects, including Quantitative Analysis for Management now in its ninth edition.
Over the six year period from 1987 to 1993, he served as associate dean of the school and director of the Stanford MBA Program. In 1999, he received the Robert T. Davis Award for extraordinary contributions to the school.
Bonini has also been active in teaching in Stanford Executive Education programs. In particular, Stanford has had a Senior Manager Executive Education Program joint with the National University of Singapore that has been held in Singapore and Hong Kong. He has taught in, and codirected, this program for most of the 25 years of its existence.
Bonini has also been very active in the Decision Sciences Institute, a professional society, serving as president from 1977 to 1978, elected fellow, and awarded the Distinguished Service Award.
