Hakan Ozyilmaz is a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He works with Professor Annamaria Lusardi in the Initiative for Financial Decision-Making. Hakan’s research lies at the intersection of household finance and behavioral economics. He employs experimental methods to investigate the economic and cognitive mechanisms behind suboptimal financial decision-making and the under-adoption of financial technologies, particularly among indebted and underbanked populations. Hakan received his PhD in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
